Kitoons Launches Kitesurf Online Store

Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) March 30, 2009 -- After a year of planning it is finally here: Kitoons has recently launched its premium online store for kitesurf equipment. The Bangkok based company distributes Flexifoil (http://www.kitoons.biz/kites.fone.htm), Wainman Hawaii (http://www.kitoons.biz/kites.wainman.htm), Brunotti (http://www.kitoons.biz/boards.brunotti.htm), Jochum & Nesler (http://www.kitoons.biz/kites.jn.htm) (JN), Griffin and Xelerator kitesurf equipment exclusive in Thailand.

Every kiteboarder knows Flexifoil for their outstanding role in the world of kitesurfing and maybe more so for their sponsorship of Aaron Hadlow, the kitesurf world champion for the past five years. Kitoons' staff is very exited about the prospect of working closely with Flexifoil. The UK based brand has come out with two kite models in 2009 so far: the Hadlow Pro '09 and the all new Neutron '09. Mid April the Ion4 will be released along with a range of new kiteboards. Kitoons' Peter Dowle expects these kites to create a big buzz in the market. According to Peter a brand to be also closely watched for is Wainman Hawaii. "Wainman's rabbit gang has done a terrific job and developed three outstanding kites with a very innovative approach. These kites are amongst the very best in the market. I really admire their design and quality!"

Kitoons' Director Piyanan Jung expressed concerns regarding more and more gray imports of kitesurf equipment flooding the market and explains that the buyers are often unaware that these products are not backed by the manufacturer's product warranty. She is stressing the fact, that kitesurfers are better advised to purchase equipment from official dealers and distributors. Kitoons undoubtedly takes its mission very serious to provide the rapidly growing kitesurf scene with quality gear at a fair price. "Gray imports of Naish, North, CrazyFly and F-One equipment have surfaced in Thailand. The buyers are mostly kept in the dark as far as product warranty is concerned.", she explains, "I urgently recommend to check the manufacturer's website in order to find out whether the respective shop is listed there as a dealer or not. The manufacturers work hard to dry out these sources and buyers of such equipment are in danger of being left on the sidelines should there be any problems with these kites and boards."

A new addition to the Kitoons website is Asia Spots (http://www.kitoons.biz/asia.kitesurf.spots.htm). With their extensive knowledge of the kitesurf locations in Asia Kitoons has mapped out the best spots across the continent and beyond: Asia Spots covers Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, The Philippines and the Australian West Coast. The Kitoons site delivers real time wind information and statistics by linking the pages to Windfinder. "A real surprise for Asia's kitesurf scene should be Japan's Ishigaki Island.", Piyanan Jung points out. According to Kitoons one of the best spots in Asia. "The wind blows almost all year round. The water is crystal clear.", she continues.

Kitoons will open an IKO affiliated kitesurf school in Thailand by mid 2009, which will aim at completing Kitoons' services around kitesurfing. "The school will offer learners to approach the sport in a safe and fun way. At present we are working on unique concepts which will help us to differentiate us from our competition. We will also implement a test center for the equipment we sell. This will enable kitesurfers to try before they buy.", says Piyanan Jung. "We will see, maybe we will be even able to host an international competition or two."
